Factory Worker that Suffered Amputation Injury Recovers Workers’ Compensation Benefits

Lear Werts helped a Mid-Missouri factory worker that suffered a hand injury in which a part of the client’s finger was severed when the factory equipment she was cleaning violently pulled her hand in between the large rollers on the machine.  This was a very traumatic incident and injury which required multiple surgeries.  In addition to the partially severed finger, the worker was left with nerve damage that causes shooting pain to go up her arm.  Lear Werts compassionately assisted the client through the workers’ compensation process and successfully settled the case at a mediation.  The five figure settlement included compensation for the resulting disfigurement that the client has been left with.
