Lear Werts attorney Anthony Meyer is set to receive this year’s W. Oliver Rasch Award for his in-depth article, “Standing in Missouri’s Federal and State Courts” which was published in the May/June 2021 Journal of The Missouri Bar. The Missouri Bar Foundation gives the award to authors who write standout articles in the Journal. The article compares and analyzes standing doctrine in the two court systems. It makes a normative point that Missouri’s courts haven’t adopted Article III’s more stringent standing requirements, and what that means for the court system and litigants. Meyer said he is honored to receive this year’s award and contribute to the academic conversation surrounding standing doctrine.
